SIMULIA has a long history of developing realistic simulation methodologies that can be applied to solving problems of value in the engineering world. Initial versions of Abaqus were developed and sold 33 years ago. Users of the first version of Abaqus were from an age where simulation was a rarity. Computers were small and slow. Interactive tools to build the model and view the results were nonexistent. One thousand nodes constituted a very large model.
