Course Objective
CATIA 3D Functional Tolerancing and Annotation (FT&A) is a CATIA product allowing easy definition and management of tolerance specifications and annotations of 3D parts and products. FT&A allows customers to reduce their reliance on 2D drawings and instead increase the use of 3D as the master representation. The product also allows users to check the correctness of all the annotations of the active product or part relating to the standard used. The course includes a mixture of presentation and tutorial, enabling students to gain hands-on experience.

The course covers the following topics:

  • Introduction to FT&A
  • The Tolerancing Advisor
  • Recap Exercises: Create drawings & manage 3D annotations
  • Recap Exercises: Create assembly annotations
  • Geometry for 3D annotations
  • Recap Exercises: Modify geometry & update annotations
  • Recap Exercises: Advanced FT&A functions
