Intrinsys continues to enjoy success and further expansion, recently hiring Jake Taylor as a Senior Design Engineer and Jon Shortt as a CAD/CAM Support engineer.
Jake previously worked for a multinational company with its design headquarters based in Northampton, where he designed and developed mechanical and electrical access and motion systems.
In previous positions, Jake developed his skills as a design engineer, using 3D Software (Autodesk Inventor). Jake managing products through the complete development process of design, prototype and testing before entering into full scale production.
Jake's career began after a successful time at University with a 1st class degree in Product Design followed by a MSc in Engineering Design from Loughborough University.
Jake made the move to Intrinsys and is keen to develop himself and the company by providing design and engineering solutions for bespoke projects.
Jon Shortt joins us from Cosworth where he worked as a CAD/CAM Support engineer. At his time at Cosworth he worked on numerous projects in both design and manufacturing. Jon Worked with Engineering software such as NX and Vericut as well as supporting the CNC Machines on the shop floor.
Previous to Cosworth, Jon completed his advanced apprenticeship at a manufacturing company in Daventry. In this job he got his overall grounding in engineering and gained experience in fitting, inspection and manufacturing. Once the Apprenticeship was complete Jon moved into the Machine shop to become a Programmer, Setter Operator.
