Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to get involved and present at the 9th Global fe-safe User Group Meeting.
We encourage you to take this opportunity to showcase your work with fe-safe. Please note that the focus of the event is on fe-safe, not on Abaqus, so you can talk about the fatigue work you do with fe-safe and any FEA code. We are not looking for full written papers, a PowerPoint presentation will suffice (unless, of course, you wish to submit a written paper).
Abstract submissions should be 250 words or less. Please submit your abstract to Stephanie.Wood@3ds.com by Friday August 21st 2015.
As always, the UGM will bring together leading fatigue experts, fe-safe users and specialist engineers from around the world to share knowledge, expertise and methodologies.
2014 saw the 8th fe-safe User Group Meeting, and the feedback, as always, praised the highly technical focus of the event. This year’s agenda will again combine user papers and partner technology papers, along with presentations from our R&D team, focusing on new features in fe-safe and deep dives into key technology.
- UGM Keynote Speaker Announced: “Recent Developments in the Master S-N Curve Method for Fatigue Life Prediction of Welded Components, with special focus on the treatment of residual stresses” Professor Pingsha Dong, University of Michigan
- Post-UGM Technical Workshops:
- Strain-Based Fatigue Workshop:
"Master Class in the theory and practical application of strain-based fatigue" Professor Greg Glinka, University of Waterloo
"Implementation of strain-based fatigue methods in fe-safe" John Draper
- Critical Distance Methods & Infinite Life Algorithms Workshop: This workshop provides a technical deep dive into the application of these methods in fe-safe, including live demos and discussion.
Both workshops will be highly technical and interactive. Time will be allowed for discussion – audience participation is highly encouraged.
The UGM will be held on Tuesday October 20th at The Inn at St John’s. The SIMULIA Great Lakes Regional User Meeting will be held at the same venue on Thursday October 22nd. A day of Advanced Seminars and Workshops will bridge the two events on Wednesday October 21st.
