During bauma, the construction equipment show, the Euro-Test Cooperation awarded the EuroTest Prize at a reception held by the Employer's Liability Insurance Association forthe construction industry' (BG BAU) on 16 April 2013 inMunich. This year the award was made for the cooperation between construction equipment manufacturer BOMAG and technology company HUMAN SOLUTIONS for the successful application of the mobile visibility validation software RAMSIS ISO 5006. Jörg Unger (BOMAG President), Robert Laux (BOMAG's Director of Technology and Development), Anton Preiß (Director of Mobility, HUMAN SOLUTIONS) and Gunter Gilberg (Account Manager of Ergonomic Simulation, HUMAN SOLUTIONS) accepted the EuroTest Prize and certificate.
By using the RAMSIS ISO 5006 software developed by HUMAN SOLUTIONS for its machines, BOMAG has taken safety on site to an even higher level. BOMAG analyses the field of vision early in the development phase, following the high visibility standards set out by the BG BAU.
The Prize award noted the following: "With the aid of simulation software the specifications of ISO 5006 for the machine operator's field of vision can be validated early in the design process. Any corrective action can then be taken at the development stage, thereby reducing costs. The close cooperation between BOMAG GmbH and Human Solutions GmbH has led to the development of a tool which optimizes health and safety at work during the product development process. BOMAG from Boppard and Human Solutions from Kaiserslautern are being awarded the EuroTest Prize 2013 for this excellent innovation in the field of health and safety."
The EuroTest Prize honors outstanding achievements by companies, organizations and individuals in the areas of occupational and machine safety. This award is presented every year by the BG BAU Employer's Liability Insurance Association for the construction industry and 12 other cooperating organizations in Europe.
