Intrinsys was formed from powertrain engineering consultancy Integral Powertrain (IP) in 2001, and remains closely linked to the company and the sound principles upon which it was founded. When the directors of Integral Powertrain left Cosworth, they had already established their credentials as exceptional engineers at one of the most successful automotive engineering companies of its time.
A competitive Integral Powertrain needed to deliver a superior product first time, every time, if they were to build a professional reputation and success within the new consultancy. Their goal to be more responsive, easier to deal with, providing greater customer care, depended on the tenacity and skill of their people but also on the business’ ability to exploit technology and over achieve in the eyes of its clients. This approach quickly developed IP’s knowledge and experience with Dassault Systèmes software tools and recognised as a significant user, they were engaged to become a pilot test site for CATIA V5.
Charged with a mission to exploit technology, to simplify complexity and grow the engineering business performance of its customers, Intrinsys met the market’s need for an engineering software and support services provider that truly understood its clients from an engineer’s perspective. Many years on, Dassault Systèmes PLM software is recognised as the standard in many key technology and innovation led engineering industries, with Intrinsys the leading UK and South African Business Partner.
In April 2014 Intrinsys acquired Applied CAE whose complementary skills and customer base continue the growth of the business. New and existing customers have the opportunity to explore new software tools and the engineering services that Intrinsys offer. Intrinsys continue to grow new business through customer acquisition, referral, and by having a hands on, experienced and practical approach to optimising their customer’s engineering business processes.
